Course Prerequisites

The CAPM® certification is an entry-level credential and does not require project management experience. However, candidates must meet basic educational requirements and commit to completing formal project management education to be eligible for the exam. 

  • Educational Qualification: A secondary diploma (high school diploma or the global equivalent) is mandatory. 
  • Formal Education in Project Management: Completion of 23 hours of project management education by the time of the exam application. 
  • No Project Experience Required: The CAPM® is designed for individuals without formal project management experience.
